However in the UK there is currently duty payable on any vegetable oil that you use as fuel. You can also buy bio-diesel from a number of garages, or make it using kits you can purchase. Also be aware of the customs and exercise rules of retaining recipes if you make your own bio-diesel.

Electric cars have come a long way with top speeds of up to 40 mph and ranges of 40 miles, suitable for urban short journeys. The costs of fuel for electric cars can be as little as 1p a mile, and if you use a green electricity provider even better. Electric cars are also exempt from the London Congestion charge.
